I love how degu's all cuddle up with each other whenever they go to sleep ect.
I got 2 of my own so when I saw some pictures of them in your gallery my first words where 'Degus!'

they awesome pets... I ahve 5 right now... all from different palaces actually.... saddly one of them is all alone because she can't get along with the others (she was abused as a baby :( ) Nice to knwo ther are other people that know what degus are :)

Well thats sad to hear about the one being alone :(
I got one from the petstore that was abused and ya... She will bite you but not other degu's because she gets along fine with my other one. Due to her biting the whole family if you don't watch it carefully you just can't pick her up (And I gave her the name Nibbler because of it hehe)

aw that sucks... I've only been bittin a coupple times in the past 3 years that I've had degus... and when it happened I knew I deserved it :( you have to be very careful with body language, how you approach them and stuff.... I always pick them up by putting my hand infront of them and letting them come to me. but I'm lucky that they do that, I know not all degus will come to you by choice. Cute little things though... the little lonely one (I haven't had her long) is msising half one of her ears.... so lops down... cute... but sad when you think about how she was treated.

Well with this one... You don't even have to do anything, my friend has nicknamed her degu-lah after dracula. She just bites... For the sake of biting I think.

I have 5 degus, mainly cuz a local pet store sold a female's mate and she was discounted cuz she wasn't eating. Lovely, eh? Well, I took her in, got bit a good 4 times, swelled up twice from it, but then she popped out 4 babies. She lets me run off with them to give her a break and I adore the lil'heathens so it works out. Have to rig up another cage to build onto the one I have. They are wonderful pets, and my cat loves Camilla <the mom>.
